 ABDUCTEE S.D. the neo-brutal punk trio was formed in 2001.The SPIDER CUNTS summer tour of 2000 ended with the band’s break-up and Amyl falling in love with a Swede, Sweden in general, and all the great friends and music (IMPERIAL LEATHER) she was making while hanging out in Stockholm after tour. She quit her jobs in NYC and moved to Stockholm in December 2000. As she had little money or friends in the beginning of a long cold winter, she taught herself bass. Nina and Amyl hooked up when Nina drove her to a MEANWHILE, RIISTETYT, KAAOS gig. Nina probably bragged about her drumming skills in GRUESOME ACTION, so when Amyl wanted to start a band she phoned her up. Nina and Amyl tried to form the band with two other girlfriends and had their first “performance” at Amyl’s wedding in 2001. Sara, who was playing the wedding with BURNING KITCHEN, saw them and realized her guitar skills were needed. Nina and Amyl couldn’t have agreed more. We tried out some singers but nothing clicked. We realized we could walk and chew gum at the same time so a trio it has remained. ABDUCTEE S.D. play music to inspire, educate and entertain. That is, both ourselves and others. Although we write about what affects us, these are not personal texts. THIS IS POLITICAL. Early on we released a CD-R demo, soon followed by the “Shit Disturbers” ep. “Won’t Stand Down” -a 9 song MCD is out on Communichaos Media and Punks Before Profits in collaboration with Communichaos have released the LP version with 4 new tracks (2006). |
