Afgrund was started in February '06 in Uppsala, Sweden under slightly
miserable conditions by Baier, Olle and Pat (from bands such as 21 Lucifers,Mareridden, Vi (ex-Clean Shade of Dirty), Penile Suffocation, Avsmak etc).1½ month later the 5-track demo CD "Hjärtslag och Djupa Andetag" was recorded. The demo CD received a lot of good response and 1½ month later
we got contacted by polish label Lifestage Productions to sign for an album or two. The recording of the debut album will hopefully happen in feb '07 at Hertz Studio (Vader, Decapitated, Squash Bowels, Dead Infection, Parricide, Dies Irae etc) in Bialystok, Poland.New news is that our drummer Olle has announced that he will be quitting
the band after the recording of the album as his heart isn't in it, he will
continue battering the drums in thrash metal band Enemy Is Us instead.We
wish him all luck. Replacement will be announced later on. Other than that
there's not much more to say at the moment.
