Ana Barata is a punkband from the town Östersund in the north of Sweden. They have played togheter sense the end of 2003.
Ana Barata is from the begining two different bands, Urug (grindcore kinda band) that Emil Bergslid, Tony Bergslid and Simon Sehlén had. And Kjell Banan, (punkrock), that Patrik Karlsson, emil Kristiansson and Viktor Stuguby played in. This two bands talked about starting a new band togheter, and play more aggresive punk music. And so they did.
Around 2003 they relieced there first Demo "En smäll på käften", and after that they have played around sweden and some in Norway. They have also relieced one split"7 togheter with speedergarben, and you can also listen to them on the Swedish, punk compilation CD "Norrland D-beat Compilation".
