Ok, here it goes. We're Anatomi-71, a punkband from Kristinehamn,
Sweden. Briefly, we play d-beat hardcore (aka "råpunk"), in the vein of
the old swedish masters. We're aware that it's been done before and that
we're playing in a narrow and already overpopulated genre, but we try
our best to have our own sound and to input our own ideas. Our ambition
is to keep some excitement and relevance to the music and lyrics and
therefore we try hard to stay away from wornout punk clichés and
dogmatics. If you don't like it, well, there's tons of other bands out
there for you instead.Anatomi-71 were formed 1999 by Limpan, Ulf and
Pärra in a miserable, small town called Kristinehamn. Back then we were
a not-that-serious noisecore act, playing around with distortion and a
drum machine when recording. We made a couple of crappy demos and some
of those recordings were released as a split cd with an american
grindband called Nemo by the british label Rage of Achilles back in 2001
(or whenever thatwas). After that we decided to make Anatomi-71 more of
a "real" band, so we recruited Patrik Hultin from Burst / The Kolony, to
play the drums. With this lineup change we developed into what we play
today, pretty straight-on aggressive hardcorepunk with some heavier doom
n' gloom parts and catchy hooks. We've done a couple of records so far
and we hope we can continue to keep our music interesting instead of
just starting to write songs after pre-made patterns. If we succeed...
well, that's up to the listener, isn't it?
