The band was formed 2003 in
Stockholm, Sweden. They soon moved to Umeå in northern Sweden, where
Nina and Rickard are originally from. A couple of diy-cds were
recorded and sold on their website and at shows. They got great
reviews, and soon the decision to release something on vinyl was made.
Five new songs were recorded, and in June 2005 the ‘War on Wankers’ 7”
ep was released by the band themselves.
Summer 2005 Disconvenience did a two week tour of Europe with
friends The Vectors and labels started showing interest. A full length
CD/LP was released the fall of 2006 on Wasted Sounds. The release was
followed up by a one month tour including countries throughout whole
Europe.
Disconvenience will now take it easy for a while, write new songs
and only do a few smaller gigs around Sweden for a couple of months |
