Frihet (in the ashes of 4 Års Helvete). Swedish kängpunk. It all started out in 2006, Marcus, Jonas, Jonas and Patrik started to play some kind of hybrid between reggae and swedish hardcore, but the reggae and Patrik disappeared after a while. Then Niklas was asked to play the guitar, which was the turningpoint for something serious to happen. The bandname 4 Års Helvete was taken, and the sound was kind of a slower Mob 47. The band rehearsed at the school as earlier and later on decided to record a demo, which never got finished or released. Later on Jonas dropped out and Edvard was the man to play the bass. Some gigs were made around in Sweden and it went quite well. During this time the "second" demo was recorded and it was called "Oljudspromo" and was recorded on a digital multitracker. This demo never got released either, but some of the mp3s have been around the ethernet. The last gig under the bandname 4 Års Helvete was made at Drägglock Fest on Ungdomens Hus late 2007. The line-up at that gig was; Marcus - drums, Niklas - vocals/guitar and Edvard - bass. After this gig the band changed name to Frihet and Robert replaced Edvard on bass. The band rehearsed and the new improved sound and direction was impressive compared to the earlier sound in the 4 Års Helvete days. The new sound could be described as Anti Cimex vs. Discontrol or something like that. And here we are now.
