Swedens Kvoteringen started out as a
project between Jallo (Totalitär, Meanwhile ex- I.R.D etc.) and Larre
Thrash (Millencolin, ex- I.R.D etc.) back in 2003 after being in the
talks for quite some time. With influences mainly from rough hardcore
punk from the early 80's the vision was to keep it that way -
Scandinavian old school punk. No hassle, pure mangel! After a couple of
rehearsals Raggar Olle (bass) and Råttan (vocals) joined them and the
line-up was complete. During one late evening fall 2004 the recording of
the first EP "Roffarens Marknad" took place at Necro Studios (Studio A),
Örebro. The band teamed up with Terrötten Records who released the debut
EP following spring 2005. "Roffarens Marknad" quickly sold out and was
later re-pressed to sell out again shortly after that.
With the buzz starting to spread Kvoteringen entered Necro Studios again
to record a bunch of tracks for what resulted in their second EP "Vidrig
Maskinell Framfart" released 06' (sold out). A few songs was also
recorded a little later for an upcoming 7" inch split with Aussie band
Pisschrist - to be released sometime this spring 2007 by Australian
label Endless Blockades.
Show and festival offers started to come in, but suddenly Raggar Olle
and Råttan decided to drop off Kvoteringen.
New vocalist Calle joined the band end of the year 2006. Calle is a
local mad man who 15 yrs ago played in the rawpunk band Blint Raseri
with Larre.
With the new line-up they recorded 9 new tracks for a fullength album
cd/lp called "Bister Prognos" which also contains the two first 7". This
album to be released by TerröttenRec/Havoc Rec late Feb/early March
2007.
Shortly after this recording Kvoteringen teamed up with Stockholm's
Nitad to do a split 7". Will be released by Dutch label Burning
Sensation during spring 2007.
